Initial Consultation
Get started by booking your first appointment with an experienced nurse or doctor to understand your health, goals, suitability for natural medicine, and DVA funding pathway.
Your Treatment Plan*
Our clinical team will develop a tailored plan based on your needs. This may include prescriptions, referrals, and support with DVA funding applications and approvals.
*All treatment recommendations are made by a registered clinician. Any prescriptions or referrals are issued at the clinician’s discretion. DVA subsidised treatment plans are subject to DVA approval processes.
Medication Support & Delivery
Once your treatment plan is ready, and any required funded-pathway approvals are in place, we coordinate your medication/s, provide ongoing support and deliver to you based on your personalised plan.

From 16 February 2026, DVA’s updated Medicinal Cannabis Framework may require an in-person appointment for DVA-funded access. Valour Health will be introducing in-person appointments across Australia soon to align with the updated DVA framework. Patients may commence care with an initial specialist consultation via telehealth. If eligible and an in-person visit is required, our team will coordinate and support access to face-to-face appointments across Australia as they become available. Private treatment options are also available where suitable.

Referrals are welcomed but not required, ensuring you receive attentive care from the very start. All treatment decisions, including whether a prescription is clinically appropriate, are made by the treating doctor based on an individual clinical assessment. DVA funding (RPBS) approval is not guaranteed and is subject to DVA eligibility criteria and assessment.

Does the DVA cover the costs of Natural Therapy treatment?
Yes, the DVA does consider funding the costs of natural medicine based treatment for many predetermined conditions such as chronic pain.
What conditions are patients eligible for natural therapy through Valour Health?

What if I don’t have pain listed as a DVA-accepted condition on my healthcare status?
If you do suffer from chronic pain and/or injury and do not have this listed as a DVA-accepted condition then we can assist you with the application process to have your healthcare status updated through our in-house advocate program. This process can take up to 6 weeks however it will then allow you to continue the path towards fully funded treatment.
